LAKE TWP. During the regular meeting on July 27, the Lake Township Board of Trustees approved labor and material for a storm sewer in the Williamsburg allotment.

Council accepted the proposal from Spano Brothers Construction for the Williamsburg Allotment Storm Sewer Headwalls Construction Project in the amount of $22,382.

In other action, trustees:

• Approved sending a letter to the Village of Hartville indicating the township’s opposition to putting up a permanent barrier to close off Wagner Avenue in order to reduce through traffic. Board President Steve Miller said that closing off the street would negatively impact the parking lot next to the high school stadium and defeat the purpose of Wagner Avenue.

• Authorized paying bills as of July 27 in the amount of $33,656.

• Approved sending a certified notice of noxious weeds for 12940 Cleveland Ave. The property owner is Kimberly Edwards.

• Accepted the resignation of auxiliary officer Ryan Sick from the Uniontown Police Department effective July 18, 2020.

• Went into executive session to prepare, conduct or review collective bargaining matters with no action taken.

UP NEXT: Meets 5 p.m. Aug. 10 at Township Hall also broadcast live on Facebook.
