Wine: 2017 La Posta Tinto red wine

Price: $12.99

Availability: 1837 Wine & Spirits, Beverage Source (Newark), Chateau Wine & Spirits (Polaris), Gentile’s, Giant Eagle stores, Grain & Grape, Hausfrau Haven, Hills Market (Worthington), Meza Vino, Barrel and Bottle, The Bottle Shop and Weiland’s

Aroma: Rich blend of fresh plums, prunes, blackberries

Flavor: Deeply colored, syrupy flavors of black plum, blackberry; amazingly well-balanced and mouthfilling for this price point.

Notes: If you have developed malbec fatigue from the many South American wines based on that grape, this will be a revelation of what malbec can do when combined with a hefty doses of bonarda and syrah grapes. Priced low enough to quaff with pizza, this Argentine wine also pairs well with all kinds of meat dishes, gazpacho, and flavorful cheeses.
