COVENTRY TWP.  Coventry High Senior Jasmine Yates recently signed her National Letter of Intent to play volleyball for Alderson Broaddus (W.Va.) University.

Yates was part of a strong senior class that led the Comets to their first-ever Portage Trail Conference title this past season and the program’s first league title in more than five decades. Coventry went 20-4 and reached the district semifinals.

Yates joins other Coventry athletes who have signed with Alderson Broaddus in recent years, including former Coventry football standout Zach Lake. She was joined for her signing by family members and coaches.
