JACKSON TWP.  Jackson senior volleyball player Anna Mallette, a 5-foot-7 outside hitter, has committed to play volleyball at Malone University.

Malone head coach Tanya Hockman announced Mallette as one of three new recruits set to join the program in the fall of 2019.

Mallette was the team captain and was voted her team’s most valuable player this fall as the Polar Bears reached the regional finals under first-year head coach Cortney Goodwin.

Mallette finished her senior season with 418 kills, a .348 hitting percentage, 372 digs and 39 aces.

She was named First Team All-Federal League, First Team All-Stark County, First Team All-District 4, and Division I Third Team All-Ohio. Academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club and plans to major in nursing.
