JACKSON TWP. Standout senior pitcher Yianni Skeriotis signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Ohio State.
Skeriotis will join former Jackson teammate Dillon Dingler, a sophomore catcher for the Buckeyes, as he looks to continue a career than has already seen him help pitch the Polar Bears to a state championship in 2017.
He tossed a complete game in the 2017 Division I state title game, completing a 9-0 season on the mound and earning First Team All-Federal League and All-Stark County honors.
In 2018, he went 9-0 again with a 0.88 ERA, earning Federal League and Stark County Player of the Year honors as well as First Team All-State First Team All-American. He will be a central part of a Jackson team expected to once again vie for league, district and regional titles this spring.
Skeriotis was joined by his parents John and Karen Skeriotis, brother Michael and his coaches for his signing ceremony.
