NEW FRANKLIN  After battling a major knee injury as a junior and getting back on the court as a senior, Manchester girls basketball standout Sammi VanScoy will continue her career on the court at Hiram College this fall.

VanScoy, who finished this past season as the team's leading scorer and second on the team in rebounding and assists, has been a fixture on the court the past four seasons for the Panthers. She is a four-year letterwinner who served as one of the primary ball handler for Manchester throughout her varsity career.

She was joined for her signing by her parents, Kurt and Dawn VanScoy, along with her sister Morgan.
