COVENTRY TWP.  Coventry senior lineman Bobby Campbell, who helped anchor the Comets’ defense last season, committed to play football for Lackawanna College on national signing day.

The 6-foot-3, 300-point Campbell played both offensive and defensive line for Coventry. Along with teammate Justin Thompson, he provided a large presence in the middle of the defensive line as the unit continued the progress it has made the past two seasons.

Lackawanna is a junior college located in Scranton, Pa.

For his signing, Campbell was joined by his mother, Treniece, father, Bobby, and Coventry head coach Ed Egan.
