• Lauren Thompson scored 11 points and Ali Karas contributed nine points to propel Springfield past Lake Center Christian 73-40 in a girls basketball game featuring teams from opposing divisions of the Portage Trail Conference. Rachel Harker scored 11 to lead LCC, while Kennedy Haubert added 10 in defeat.

• JoJo France had a team-high 21 points, Van Wallbrown added nine and Danny Grizer contributed five as Manchester won a 48-45 decision over Indian Valley in a boys basketball game that was close from start to finish.

• Micah Wallace scored 18 points in the fourth quarter as Coventry's boys basketball team overcame a blown lead on the road to hand Woodridge its first defeat of the season, 61-55. Wallace finished with 23 points on the night and Dusty Burkhart chipped in 10 for the Comets.

• John Paul Miller had 21 points and Jacob Ickes also reached double figures with 18, but Lake Center Christian fell in the final minute to Waterloo in by a score of 58-57 in a Portage Trail Conference boys basketball game.

• Kaleb Martin led Green with 18 points and was backed up by Garrison Keeslar (12 points) and Bobby Staudt (11) as the Bulldogs overcame a slow start to push past Barberton 75-54 in a non-league boys basketball road tilt.

• Chloe Moore topped her team with 16 points and Paige Karmie tallied eight, but it wasn’t enough for Lake Center Christian as the Tigers dropped a 56-39 road decision to Crestwood in Portage Trail Conference girls basketball action.

• Coventry’s Isaac Beal reached the semifinals of the in Portage Trail Conference wrestling tournament before falling in a third-place match to finish fourth in the league. Mogadore’s Paul Skye won the 220-pound title, while Springfield’s Jack Rogan won the third-place match in the 160-pound weight class.

• Sophomore center Andrew Smith scored 13 points and Andrew Hanna added nine, but it wasn’t enough for host Springfield as a late rally fell short in a 46-39 in Portage Trail Conference boys basketball loss to Field.

• Jake Maranville had 12 points and Mike Spotleson added 10 for host Lake, which saw its hopes of winning a share of the Federal League title dashed in a 55-51 home loss to Canton McKinley in boys basketball.

• Kole Jaber and Lukas Swartz tied for game-high scoring honors with 17 points each, Jarad Dunn added 15 and Austin Williams had 13 as Mogadore routed Canton Heritage Christian 77-58 in a non-league boys basketball matchup. 

• Zak Williams had a high game of 236 and a high series of 446 to power the Springfield Spartans to a 2,471-1,936 win over Garrettsville in Portage Trail Conference boys bowling action. Carlea Masters paced the Springfield girls to a 2,196-2,183 win over the G-Men with a high game of 224 and high series of 419.
