JACKSON TWP. During a special meeting on July 2, the Jackson Township Board of Trustees approved purchasing and constructing a Span Tech building system for the Highway Division in the amount of $37,965. The contract is with Miller Builders for materials and labor.

The building will be used to store salt and other items such as topsoil. Director of the Public Works Department Richard Rohn told trustees that it costs $35,000 to store the salt.

"We have more salt than we need right now, and this will allow us to get it under cover," Rohn said. "Having this building is a better use of our money."

OTHER ACTION:

• Approved an easement agreement for drainage at the Keck Park Circle on State Route 241.
