Employees told police the three were stealing.

LAKE TWP. Police arrested a wanted man and two other shoplifting suspects at Hartville Hardware Wednesday night, Stark County Jail records show.

The jail records show that this wasn't the first time the Alliance trio was caught stealing inside the store.

A 49-year-old man who lives on Vine Street, a 24-year-old man who lives on Ardmore Drive and his 43-year-old mother with whom he lives were arrested at 8 p.m. at the store at 1315 Edison St. by Uniontown Police.

The older man was already wanted on two theft warrants and a warrant charging him with criminal tools possession. He was additionally booked into the jail on another theft charge.

The younger man was jailed on charges of theft and two counts of felony aggravated drug possession, and his mother was jailed on charges of theft and drug paraphernalia possession.

The jail records did not say what they were accused of stealing, but did say that the thefts were still in progress when police were notified.

Stark County court records show the older man has been to jail nearly a dozen times for theft.

The younger man is on parole, released from prison after serving time for corrupting another with drugs and possession of criminal tools, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records show.

Both men remained behind bars Thursday. The older man was held without bond and the younger man was held in lieu of $52,000 bond.

The woman was booked into the jail and later released on her own recognizance pending an Alliance Municipal Court hearing.
