LAKE TWP. During the regular board meeting on Nov. 18, the Lake Local Schools Board of Education approved a five-year Depository Agreement with Consumers National Bank.


The agreement is for both active and interim public monies. Treasurer Nicole Nichols said that the district is required to have a depository agreement on file at all times.


“The current agreement is three years old and is expiring this week,” Nichols said. “The agreement states that the bank complies with all state regulations.”


OTHER ACTIONS:


• Held the monthly Hartville Lion’s Club, Uniontown Lion’s Club and the Lake Board of Education recognition program. The following students and staff were recognized: Emily Guzman and Chase Kubitza, 3rd grade; Mady Alder and Mitchell Wise, 5th grade; Audrey Nichols and Joshua Greer, 8th grade; Isabella (Izzy) Armentrout and Isaac Rosler, 12th grade. Also, recognized Mallory Wickham, teacher of the month; Debra Schafer, employee of the month; and Carmencita Slabinski, volunteer of the month.


• Approved sending the five-year forecast to the Ohio Department of Education as required.


• Accepted the following donations: $1,000 from Stark County Sheriff’s Office Spouse’s Committee for school supplies that will benefit students; and $1,000 from Traveling Classrooms form the proceeds of a seventh-grade trip to Washington D.C. for school supplies to benefit students.
