GREEN  The Gables of Green Senior Living, 2045 Franks Pkwy., recently presented a check for $12,400 to the Green Alumni Association Scholarship Program.

Before the Gables of Green opened in November of 2017, Gables Management President Mike Wojno pledged $1000.00 a year to the program for five years in memory and honor of Pauline Franks. Wojno also pledged an additional amount for every resident that moves into The Gables of Green.

“We are proud to be part of the Green community and we like to support local students” Wojno said in a news release.

“Most of our residents have lived in Green all their lives and they went to Green schools as did their children, grandchildren and now even great grandchildren” remarked Tara Lucki, sales and marketing director at The Gables of Green. “We wanted to honor Mrs. Franks and the generations of our residents and their families that went to Green schools."

The Gables of Green offers Assisted Living and Memory Care services to about 100 residents.

“We really do personalize our services for our residents by offering open dining, predictive technology and the medical expertise that allows residents to make one move to us and age in place” says Lucki.

Eileen Cowgar, president of the Green Alumni Association, and Karen Miller, scholarship administrator, were on hand to accept the donation.

“The scholarships are awarded to Seniors at Green High School for college programs and applications are available through the Guidance Department” says Cowgar.

Karen Miller remarked “We are thankful that The Gables of Green has chosen our program to be the recipient of this generous donation”
