JACKSON TWP.  The Conference Center at Kent State ar Stark was packed full of vendors and guests during the 2019 Annual Business Expo hosted by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and presented by Aultcare on Feb. 28.

The business-to-business, networking event has been connecting entrepreneurs, businesses and professionals for 18 years. Jackson Township trustees Todd Hawke, who is also one of the organizers for the event, said the event is an opportunity to meet and talk to people in a short amount of time.

“There are 116 vendors here today, it’s about the idea of bringing small businesses together to meet and talk to each other,” Hawke said. “It’s business-to-business networking where vendors are making connections and generating business. My being in business, I know that getting to talk to maybe 1,000 people in four hours will certainly generate referrals and connections.”

Steven M. Meeks, chief operating officer for the Canton Chamber, added, “The majority of the vendors return every year which tells us they are seeing a level of success from being a part of the event.”

In addition to the vendors, there were 12 restaurants handing out free samples and competing for the highest award in the Taste of Stark. A short list of vendors included Miller Studio, Go Shred, Palmer Vacations, KeyBank, Paychex, SCORE, Koala Kruizers, Community Hospice, Mercy Medical, StarkJobs.com and many more.

Sponsors for the event included Canton Regional Chamber Health Fund, M Conley Co, Spectrum, The Canton Repository, Jackson Suburbanite, C. Massouh Printing Services and TL Worldwide Transportation.
