She was dragged, strangled, slammed, beaten and threatened, deputies say. He's now behind bars.
LAKE TWP. Stark County Sheriff's deputies say a Greentown-area man tried to strangle a woman, pushed her, dragged her across the floor and up and down stairs by her ankles.
According to Stark County Jail records, Steven L. Gadd, 32, of 3770 Dotwood St. NW, also slammed her on the floor, restrained her hands at the wrists, kicked her in the ribs and threatened "to kill her in the future."
Gadd was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Friday in the 4000 block of Greentree Avenue SW in Canton on charges of felonious assault and domestic violence.
Gadd remained in jail Saturday, held in lieu of $60,000 bond pending a Canton Municipal Court hearing.
The jail records did not say whether the woman received medical treatment.
