- Kids ages 11 to 13 can experience nature through art with fun, hands-on experiences from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pack a lunch and dress to be outside for long periods of time. Winter Day Camp: Art and Nature will meet at the lodge at Firestone Metro Park/Coventry Oaks Area, 40 Axline Ave. The cost is $10/person and registration is required and is open now at summitmetroparks.org. - From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., celebrate the start of another winter season. Bring your own hot dogs and buns to cook over an open fire, and we'll provide drinks and condiments. - Those ages 16 and older can play games to build archery skills in a fun and exciting way from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Firestone Metro Park, Coventry Oaks Area, 40 Axline Ave. Participants must have already taken one of the Intro to Archery programs. - Hike along Cherry Lane Trail to learn about Pokémon and their real-life counterparts while playing Pokémon Go. Please bring a device capable of playing Pokémon Go with the app pre-installed. - Coventry AARP will meet at 1:15 p.m.at the Portage Lakes Kiwanis Club Civic Center, 725 Portage Lakes Drive. Start the New Year out right with Fitness Trainer Lisa J. Kelleman-McClain demonstrating exercises to help mature muscles get moving.  Free refreshments will be served and all seniors are welcome.
