An Akron man, 23, was charged Nov. 23 with aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct. Police said during a confrontation at a Mega Street movie theater, he brandished a knife at three people and threatened to kill them. He was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail.

A traffic stop on Eagle Circle Nov. 22 led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Akron woman wanted on a Summit County warrant for a probation violation, a fifth-degree felony. On the same day, a 21-year-old Canton man was turned over to Canton police on a failure-to-appear warrant during a traffic stop on Everhard Road.

Twenty gold/platinum coins, $300 in Euro bills, and a Briggs and Riley luggage bag were among the items reported stolen during the break-in of a home in the 6400 block of Dunwoody Cir. NW. Total value of the property was listed at $12,600

On Nov. 20, a Marsh Avenue woman reported someone used her identity to obtain heating services. Accrued charges on the account totaled $391.

A Stuart Street woman told police Nov. 20 her 81-year-old father was scammed out of $2,700 after responding to a fraudulent phone call.

A paint sprayer valued at $500 was reported stolen Nov. 19 from a home under construction in the 8300 block of Nottinghill Cir. NW.

On Nov. 18, an officer patrolling Blue Ash Avenue stopped to check on an unoccupied car parked on the street with the engine running. As he approached the vehicle, he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside. The owner showed up at that point and said he was in the area buying furniture. He gave his consent to have his car searched, and the officer discovered a small baggie of marijuana. The 30-year-old man was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession and released with a court summons.

Three signed Cleveland Cavaliers jerseys, another jersey signed by Magic Johnson and two $100 gift cards were the main items reported stolen Nov. 18 from an unlocked vehicle in the 2800 block of Coldwater Ave. NW. The total loss came to $1,100.

Three men all under the age of 21 were charged with underage alcohol consumption Nov. 18 after police found them heavily intoxicated in a car stopped for a traffic violation at the intersection of Canterbury Street and Cornwall Drive. The driver was also charged.

Police were investigating a Nov. 18 report by a 17-year-old girl who said she was sexually assaulted at an Everhard Road hotel. The girl was treated at a local hospital.

Two women stole $690 in fragrance sprays from a Dressler Road beauty salon, according to a Nov. 18 report.

On Nov. 17, an Everhard Road man told police he started an online relationship with a stranger and they exchanged photos of each other. He said the person then threatened to post his photos online if money was not sent to a specified location. The man sent $700 via PayPal but then called police after the person asked for more money.

A manager at a Dressler Road hotel reported two sprinkler systems were damaged Nov. 17 by a photographer covering a wedding there. Reported damage totaled $20,000. Police were investigating.
