A Guinevere Circle man, 34, was arrested at his home Oct. 30 on an outstanding felony warrant for possession of drugs. He was transported to the Summit County Jail and booked.
Deputies issued a warrant Oct. 29 for a 26-year-old Akron man charging him with felony grand theft. He is accused of stealing $15,650 while an employee at a Mayfair Road business.
A Marjess Drive man reported Oct. 29 that someone entered his unlocked truck and stole $4 from the center console.
A male student at Green High School was charged with tobacco violations Oct. 29 after he was reportedly seen using a vaporizer in the lunchroom.
A Uniontown man told deputies an unoccupied home he owns on Massillon Road was broken into on Oct. 17 and tools and yard equipment were stolen. On Oct. 28, when he returned to the home, he found fresh tire tracks in the grass. Nothing, however, was found missing or tampered with.
A Neptune Drive man, 32, was picked up by deputies at a local hospital on Oct. 27 on a warrant charging him with a probation violation. He was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.
A Massillon Road woman reported someone cut her land line telephone wires sometime during the overnight hours of Oct. 26-27.
A Cuyahoga Falls man, 28, was arrested Oct. 26 on a felony drug possession charge. According to reports, the man was a guest at a Fortuna Drive hotel for a couple nights. When he checked out on Oct. 26, a housekeeper found a syringe and spoon with methamphetamine in a nightstand drawer. The man reportedly admitted the items were his. Along with the felony count, the man was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor. On the same day at the location, deputies arrested a 56-year-old Akron man on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony drug possession charge.
A Mayfair Road woman told deputies Oct. 24 that someone was using her personal information without her consent. The matter was being investigated.
An Akron man, 39, was charged Oct. 24 with assault. Deputies said he struck a man in the backside during an argument on Franks Parkway. The Akron man was upset because the other man had been talking to his wife.
A Linda Street man, 21, was charged Oct. 29 with providing alcohol to underage persons. Deputies said he provided alcoholic beverages to a 17-year-old Doylestown boy at his home.
On Oct. 28, a Cove Boulevard man reported someone stole the rear license plate off his pickup truck.
A West Turkeyfoot Lake Road man, 42, was arrested for drunken driving Oct. 27 following a traffic stop on Warner Road. The arresting officer said the man had slurred speech, watery eyes and a strong smell of alcohol on him. Court records showed he had five prior OVI convictions in the past 20 years.
A black cargo trailer valued at $1,200 was reported stolen Oct. 26 from a side yard of a home in the 3900 block of State Street.
A Cormany Road man, 33, was booked into the Summit County Jail Oct. 25 on a domestic violence charge. Deputies said he grabbed his girlfriend by the hair while she was asleep and slapped her multiple times in the face. The woman had visible marks.
A New Franklin man told deputies he went to a Manchester Road bank on Oct. 24 to withdraw $900 from his account for a trip to Florida. While he was buying gas in South Carolina, he discovered three $50 bills he had received from the bank were counterfeit. The man called his bank about the bogus bills and the matter was resolved after he returned home from his trip.
On Oct. 26, a student at Manchester High School reported a purse was stolen from her locker.
A breaking and entering was reported Oct. 24 at a South Cleveland-Massillon Road home. Someone entered the detached garage and stole several items.
A North Street woman told police Oct. 24 that her ex-boyfriend contacted her through Instagram, violating a protection order she has against him. Police issued a warrant for the man’s arrest.
Police responded to a one-car traffic accident in the 2100 block of Center Road Oct. 24. The 19-year-old male driver was asked if he had anything illegal in the car and responded he had alcohol in the trunk. The officer found three bottles of liquor, which the man said were a friend’s. The man was charged with underage alcohol possession and released with a court summons.
Police responded to a domestic dispute on Navarre Avenue Oct. 24 between a father and his son arguing over sausage. Both claimed the other punched him in the head. The officer found no injuries on either man. Due to conflicting statements and lack of physical evidence, no charges were filed.
A 47-year-old Akron man was arrested for drunken driving Oct. 24 after his car struck the passenger side of another car at the intersection of State Route 619 and Dusty’s Road. The man’s car was towed and his license plates were confiscated.
A Center Road man reported Oct. 24 someone used his identity to open a store credit card account and made unauthorized charges totaling $269.64.
A North Street man, 27, was charged Oct. 23 with domestic violence. His girlfriend told police a verbal argument with the man became physical when he punched her and began throwing her around. She also said he twisted both her wrists and tore a door off the hinges. The woman signed a temporary restraining order. The man was arrested and taken to Barberton City Jail.
A burglary was reported at a home in the 5700 block of Farview Drive Oct. 23.
Two mailboxes were damaged in the 2700 block of Serfass Road, according to an Oct. 22 report.
A Myers Road man reported Oct. 22 that someone used his Social Security number to make fraudulent purchases.
A Manchester Road man told police Oct. 22 that a neighbor’s tree fell on his vehicles, causing damage.
On Oct. 29, a Canton Road car lot owner reported a tire and rim were stolen off a Jeep he kept in the back lot for scrap parts. He also noticed the lug nuts were loosened on several other scrap vehicles.
An Akron man, 41, was charged with theft Oct. 29 after he was accused of shoplifting $219 in merchandise from a South Arlington Road home improvement store. He was issued a court summons and released.
A Doty Drive woman, 30, was arrested Oct. 28 on warrants charging her with inducing panic and drug abuse. The woman’s mother, who lives on Swinehart Road, called police after the woman showed up at her home despite being told she was no longer welcome. The woman was arrested at the home and turned over to sheriff’s deputies.
An Akron woman reported her $1,000 cellphone was stolen after she set it down while shopping at an East Waterloo Road store Oct. 27.
While taking a report for a stolen license plate at a Proctor Road home Oct. 27, police arrested a 27-year-old male resident on a felony warrant for a probation violation. He was turned over to sheriff’s deputies.
A manager of a Massillon Road motel reported an Akron man stole several items from a room after checking out on Oct. 27. A television and wall mount, a window air conditioner and a small trash can were taken. Damage was also found on the mirror in the bathroom.
On Oct. 26, police responded to a shoplifting incident at a Canton Road gas station. Shortly after, officers stopped a car matching the description of the getaway vehicle and found both occupants, a 42-year-old Coach Lane man and a 48-year-old Akron woman, with felony warrants. They were arrested and turned over to Akron police.
A Coach Lane man, 26, was jailed in Summit County Oct. 26 on a charge of domestic violence. Police said the man head-butted his girlfriend during an argument on Oct. 16. The woman reportedly drove herself to the hospital and needed five stitches for a laceration on her forehead.
A Milo White Drive man reported a .357 magnum handgun was stolen from his van Oct. 25.
A Barberton woman, 37, was arrested Oct. 25 on a felony drug possession charge. Police said they found methamphetamine in her car during a traffic stop on South Arlington Road.
Police are looking for a man who stole two Polo men’s watches, a cell phone case and a charging cable from a South Arlington Road department store on Oct. 24. The suspect is described as a white male between 35 and 40 years old. He was wearing an Ohio State University hooded sweatshirt and a pair of military pants, and was last seen driving off in a dark gray Honda minivan.
Police issued a warrant Oct. 24 for a 26-year-old Mayfair Road woman charging her with felony domestic violence. She is accused of assaulting her mother at her Junior Avenue home by spitting in her face and pushing her to the ground by her hair. The charge is a felony because of a prior conviction for the same offense.
A Wilson Avenue man reported Oct. 29 that someone used his bank credit card at several locations to make unauthorized purchases. The man’s bank was conducting an investigation into the matter.
On Oct. 23, a Castleton Court man reported someone smashed the rear window on his car while it was parked at his home.
Tools valued at $4,500 were stolen from the back of a pickup truck on Cayuga Avenue during the overnight hours of Oct. 22-23.
