Tour of Akron
Enjoy a series of theatrical vignettes, "Rebranding the City: A Humanizing Tour of Akron," From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5 at Sand Run Metro Park's Big Bend Area, 1337 Merriman Road. It is about trying to convince people to come to (and stay in) Akron. The play is based off of interviews with people from Akron's 24 Akron neighborhoods and serves as a humorous (and sometimes serious), self-reflective look at where Akron came from, where it is now and where it plans to go all while giving a platform for the voices of its residents. All ages are welcome, but the play may be most suitable for ages 12 and up. Bring a blanket or chair for this outdoor performance. For information, call 330-865-8065.
