On July 28, an officer patrolling Fulton Road stopped to investigate a group of people standing around a man lying on the ground outside a restaurant. The man, apparently intoxicated, told the officer he drank six beers and four shots of tequila. He was released to his girlfriend and no charges were filed.
A Massillon woman, 57, was charged with theft July 27 after police said she stole beer from a Fulton Drive Northwest supermarket on three separate occasions. Security video captured her stealing beer on July 25, 26 and 27. Police said the woman had no prior criminal history.
Soccer equipment and clothing worth $1,300 were reported stolen July 27 from a carport at a residence in the 2600 block of Williamsburg Lane Northwest.

A Massillon man, 43, was booked into the Stark County Jail July 26 on a domestic violence charge. Police said he threw a pair of sunglasses at his wife during a quarrel at an Everhard Road hotel. The glasses struck the woman in the right eye, causing minor swelling and a laceration.
A Sunset Strip Avenue man told police July 27 someone used his credit card information for unauthorized charges totaling $320.
A Canton man, 39, was charged July 27 with disorderly conduct. Police were called to Glenmoor Country Club where employees said the man caused a disturbance after becoming intoxicated and refusing to leave.
A Deer Trace Avenue resident reported the rear license plate on his vehicle was stolen sometime during the overnight hours of July 26-27.
Police responded to a call from a Dressler Road department store July 26 after employees reported a man left without paying for merchandise. Officers found a suspect matching the description a short time later outside a nearby store. The 44-year-old man was charged with theft for allegedly stealing $23 worth of merchandise. A background check showed he had warrants for failure to appear on charges of theft and aggravated possession of drugs, a felony. He was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail.
A car tow dolly worth $600 was reported stolen July 26 from an auto repair shop on Wales Avenue Northwest.
An East Canton man told police someone used his identity to obtain a $1,157 loan at an Everhard Road financial institution.
On July 25, police responded to a shoplifting incident involving three people at a Dressler Road department store. Officers located the getaway car a short time later in a parking lot on Belden Village Street. An Alliance woman, 26, was charged with theft after stolen items were allegedly found in the car. Her two companions, an Alliance man, 25, and an Alliance woman, 22, were charged with complicity to commit theft.
A handgun worth $400 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 4800 block of Armandale Avenue Northwest July 25.
A Canal Fulton man, 52, was arrested July 25 on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a count each of failure to control and hit-skip. Police said he lost control of his truck with an attached trailer on West Boulevard and struck three road signs, a guardrail and a large trash container. He then continued on without stopping.
Two women stole $800 worth of clothing from a Strip Avenue Northwest store, according to a July 25 report.
A Seymour Street resident told police July 25 that someone used her personal information to open several credit card accounts in New York. Charges on the accounts totaled $1,500.
On July 24, a Lutz Avenue resident told police someone used his identity to secure a loan for $1,200.
A purse was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 9300 block of Forest Trail NW on July 24.
Someone entered a garage on Lake O’ Springs Avenue on July 23 through an unlocked man door. Nothing was reported taken. The intruder left behind a hypodermic needle.
