The Warrior Dash at Clay’s Park Resort, 5428 Manchester Ave. NW, North Lawrence, will take place July 21 and 22. Participants earn a warrior helmet by tackling a three to four-mile course and 12 extreme obstacles. Warriors celebrate with turkey legs, beer steins and live music post-race. Tea with the Curator
Tea with the Curator-The Ida McKinley Dress Project will be from 10 a.m.-noon on July 30 at The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, 800 McKinley Monument Drive NW, Canton. The musuem is engaged in the largest textile conservation project in the organization’s history. Twenty of Ida McKinley’s gowns have been identified as good candidates for conservation treatment to stabilize them for display. This program will explore Mrs. McKinley’s style, using our collection of archival photograph and her dresses, as well as a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of the conservation process. The program is $15 and includes tea/coffee and breakfast sweets. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 330-455-7043.
