• Police arrested a North Canton man following an incident in which he was accused of using a four-wheeler to turf school yard property at Orchard Hill Intermediate School. The suspect allegedly damaged turf at the school and left the scene.

• A Hillcrest Street SW woman, 96, reported that an unknown suspect stole drugs from a safe in her home without breaking the safe. The victim reported the theft of a bottle of morphine with a value of $50 and an investigation is pending.

• A Hallum Street girl, 17, reported that an unknown suspect stole money from her wallet. The suspect removed money from the wallet without permission, but the victim declined prosecution.

• A Louisville man, 24, was arrested at a North Main Street location on a charge of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in Canton Municipal Court and released at the scene.

• A Willowhursrt Circle woman, 60, reported that a suspect struck her in the back with an unknown object outside her residence. An investigation is pending.      

• Officers responded to a call from a Lynbrook Street residence regarding a runaway juvenile. The spoke to a woman who reported that her 16-year-old stepson left on foot with no phone, but an officer was able to locate the boy at a friend’s house. The son advised that he left his home after an argument with his father and reported wanting to harm himself due to regular such arguments. He was transported to a local medical facility for evaluation.

• Two juveniles were taken into custody at a Fair Oaks Avenue location on charges of disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile after they allegedly exposed themselves to each other on school-issued laptops. No charges were filed.

• A Canton man, 32, was arrested at a Hillcrest Avenue location on a charge of domestic violence knowingly causing physical harm. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A North Canton man was charged with failure to comply with orders from an officer, reckless operation and driving under a suspended license stemming from an incident on the 6100 block of Whipple Avenue. The suspect was stopped by an officer but fled and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 25, at a South Main Street residence on a charge of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody, issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 38, at an Everhard Road residence on an outstanding warrant for abuse of animals. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• An employee at a North Main Street business reported that an unknown suspect shoplifted items from store shelves. The suspect took the items and passed all points of purchase without paying, taking items with a total value of $60.72. An investigation is pending.

• Officers responded to a call from a Lupe Avenue residence regarding an unruly juvenile. Upon arriving, they spoke to the reportee, a 52-year-old man who told them his son was being disobedient. The father reported that his son missed school that day after being up too late on electronic devices he was not permitted to use. The man ultimately decided not to press charges, but was advised how to do so in the future.

• A Canton man, 26, was arrested at a Cleveland Avenue location on a charge of theft without consent stemming from an incident at a Pittsburg Avenue business. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• Police arrested an Akron woman, 27, at a Pittsburg Avenue residence on charges of possession of drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.
