Police arrested three people on disorderly conduct charges March 4. A Massillon man, 28, was taken into custody after he got into a fight with several bouncers at a Dressler Road bar. He was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Stark County Jail. Another Massillon man, 24, was found heavily intoxicated outside a gentlemen’s club on Munson Street Northwest. A Canton woman, 50, was arrested after police said she got into a fight with several people at a Fulton Drive bar and refused to leave.
Police responded to two "smash and grab" incidents at separate restaurants on Dressler Road on March 4. In the one incident, the back window of a sport utility vehicle was shattered and a purse, containing debit cards, prescription eyeglasses and $250, was taken. A purse was reported taken in the other incident as well.
An Akron man, 19, was charged with domestic violence March 4 after he allegedly struck his sister multiple times in the head during an argument on Strip Avenue Northwest. He was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail.
On March 3, a Kipling Avenue man reported someone broke a window on his garage. Damage was estimated at $75.
A loss prevention officer at a Dressler Road department store called police March 3 after reportedly finding an ammunition magazine loaded with nine bullets inside a fitting room.
A manager at a Whipple Avenue supermarket told police March 3 that a man left with $96 worth of groceries without paying.
On March 2, police responded to an unwanted person call at a store on Belden Village Street Northwest. A 40-year-old Canton man, found with a warrant out of Erie, Pa., was arrested and taken to the Stark County Jail to await extradition.
A North Canton man, 59, was charged March 2 with domestic violence. Police said he struck his sister in the jaw while she was sitting in a wheelchair at a High Mill Avenue rehab facility.
A Canton man, 27, was booked into the Stark County Jail March 2 on felony theft charges. Police said he was driving a car with a license plate and registration sticker he had stolen from another vehicle.
On March 1, a North Canton woman told police she placed her mother inside her car outside an Everhard Road store and then drove off without her mother’s wheelchair. After realizing what she did, she went back to retrieve the chair, but it was gone.
Two North Canton women, both 18, were arrested March 1 after together they allegedly attempted to steal more than $1,000 worth of clothing from a department store at the Belden Village Mall.
A 9mm handgun, 50 rounds of ammunition and $500 in cash, total value $950, were reported stolen March 1 from a pickup truck in the 4500 block of Castlebar Street Northwest.
An Easy Street woman told police March 1 she was scammed out of $1,710 after responding to a fraudulent ad on the Internet for a secret shopper. On the same day, a Colton Street woman said she gave her debit card information to someone using a deceptive website.
A Cambridge Avenue man told police Feb. 25 that a male acquaintance made a threat on social media that he was going to kill him.
