LAKE TWP. Uniontown Police arrested a township woman accused of stealing at least $16,000 in jewelry from a township home in September.
Jennifer A. Slates, 49, of the 2700 block of Kim Street NE, was arrested Thursday at the Uniontown Police Department, where she surrendered to officers, according to Stark County Jail records. She had been wanted on a felony warrant charging her with theft.
She is accused of stealing the jewelry from a Gulf Street NW home while visiting between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30, said Lt. Michael Batchik of the Uniontown Police Department.
Slates was booked into the jail and released a few hours later on her own recognizance pending a Canton Municipal Court hearing.
