GREEN The city, Project Dawn and the Summit County Sheriff's Office will present a community information meeting regarding drug use and abuse and offer Narcan training at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.
First responders will share first-hand accounts, and the Drug Task Force will give an update on what the city is doing to eliminate drug abuse. Participants will be taught how to fight and prevent drug abuse, as well as receive Narcan training. Narcan is the brand name of a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
The event is free to attend, and a free Narcan kit will be provided to those who stay for training, while supplies last.
