Soup at Six, The Life of Death: The History and Culture of Death and Dying, starts at 6 p.m. Oct. 19. McKinley Museum Curator Kim Kenney explores how the meaning of death and death rituals have changed over time. This program will trace the history of sky burial, cremation, green burial and other interesting topics. Masquerade ball

The Spirits & Spirits Masquerade Ball will be from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, Oct. 21. The Players Guild is summoning people to join them for the second annual Masquerade Ball at the Players Guild Theatre, 1001 Market Ave. N, Canton. In keeping with the theme, it will be providing two types of "Spirits"… those that are consumabl and those likely to be found inhabiting the theatre. Everyone is encouraged to dress in a costume. Judges will be mingling throughout the night to find the most wonderfully attired guest, who will probably be suitably rewarded. There will be dancing on the mainstage, food, drinks, and some very surprising moments await with some most memorable, haunting characters. Ages 21 and over only. Owloween at Quail Hollow

Come and meet Stark Parks Animal Advisors and learn about the owls of Ohio during Owloween at Quail Hollow Park's nature center from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 21. Free and open to all ages, snacks will be provided. Quail Hollow Park is located at 13480 Congress Lake Ave., Hartville.

Fall Fest

The Annual Community of North Canton Fall Fest will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 21. Come dressed in a favorite costume for games, fund, prizes and live entertainment. Local businesses, organizations and government agencies will have tables setup for the kids to visit and get Halloween treats. The fun happens in Community Christian Church at 210 North Main St., in North Canton. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
