The Repository is presenting that show and another by former Trans-Siberian Orchestra musicians

CANTON  The Canton Repository had big success with its Christmas concerts in 2015 and 2016 at The Palace Theatre, with sellouts featuring country stars Kenny Rogers and Sara Evans.

This December, the Rep will put on two different holiday shows at the Palace. The shows will be presented in conjunction with Dusty Guitar Productions.

The first concert, at 8 p.m. Dec. 15, will showcase Phil Vassar and Kellie Pickler in "A Christmas Tour." They'll perform their solo hits and songs of the Christmas season.

Vassar, whose hits include “Six-Pack Summer,” “In a Real Love” and “Just Another Day in Paradise,” has performed crowd-pleasing shows at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Ribs Burnoff and the Stark County Italian-American Festival.

Pickler, who rose to fame as an "American Idol" contestant and won Season 16 of TV's "Dancing With the Stars," has had country hits with "Red High Heels," "Best Days of Your Life" and "I Wonder."

Tickets for the Vassar-Pickler show, $44 and $64, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at and 330-454-8172.

The second show, at 8 p.m. Dec. 23, is a theatrical concert of symphonic-rock Christmas music by Wizards of Winter, a band featuring former members of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The Wizards have released two albums to date, the latest being "The Magic of Winter."

Tickets for the Wizards concert, $34, $49 and $69, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at and 330-454-8172.

"Just as The Canton Repository strives to provide Canton and Stark County with complete coverage of what's happening in our community, we also are proud to bring high-quality entertainment to the area," said Jim Porter, president and publisher of GateHouse Ohio. "We're excited to build on our tradition of holiday shows that began with Kenny Rogers and Sara Evans, with Kellie Pickler, Phil Vassar and Wizards of Winter this Christmas season."
