COVENTRY TWP.  An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with three counts of rape (first-degree felony) following a Summit County Sheriff's Office investigation into alleged forced sexual contact with three children living in the family's Coventry Township home.

In January, the Sheriff's Office received information regarding sexual abuse in the home. Detectives responded along with officials from Summit County Children's Services. It was found that nine children were living in the home along with their parents. According to a Sheriff's Office news release, due to deplorable living conditions, hoarding, mental health concerns, multiple reports of sex offenses, abuse allegations and neglect complaints against the family filed through Children's Services, the children were removed from the home due to safety concerns.

Upon further investigation, the Sheriff's Office determined that the 18 year old had engaged in forceful sexual acts with three of the children, a 5-year-old boy, 6-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy. The man is the half brother to all of the victims.

The man has been transported to the Summit County Jail and further charges are pending based on the outcome of the Sherrif's Office investigation.
