The annual leadership awards dinner for the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce is set for Feb. 21 at Hartville Kitchen.

HARTVILLE  The Lake Township Chamber of Commerce will present its annual leadership awards during a dinner on Feb. 21 at the Hartville Kitchen.

Featured guest speaker is long-time Northeast Ohio sportswriter Terry Pluto. The author of "The Comeback: LeBron, The Cavs & Cleveland," Pluto will discuss how individual stories come together to form a larger, cohesive narrative.

Award winners this year are: Lifetime Achievement Award, John Pastore of Hartville RV; Outstanding Business Professional Award, Dr. Nicholas Mellion of Mellion Orthodontics; Community Service Award, retired Hartville Fire Chief Richard Kamerer; and Educational Leader Award, Chris Eliopoulos of Lake Local Schools.

The Community Impact Award goes to the Bicentennial Committee for its year-long effort to promote the township’s 200th birthday with events that brought together Greentown, Uniontown and Hartville. “Working hard and enjoying the entire year was a wonderful experience for the entire committee,” said Ruth Sturgill, one of the key players on the committee of roughly 50 people.

Tickets are $25 if purchased before before Feb. 7, and $35 after. Visit for more information or call Christa Kozy, president of the Lake Chamber, at 330-877-5500.
