The North Canton Alumni Association honored five Hoover High School graduates during the 2016 Hall of Distinction Induction Banquet on Sept. 14.

This year’s inductees include are:

Martin Alexader: A former vocal music instructor who had a positive impact on the Hoover High School music programs. 

Brian Dyak: A 1967 graduate who spent more than 40 years dedicated to addressing serious health and social issues related to mental health, substance abuse prevention and treatment.  

Michael Gallina: A former Superintendent who is recognized throughout the Stark County area for his upbeat and positive attitude. 

Phil Howes: A 1953 graduate who was a prestigious lawyer and practiced law for over 50 years in the Stark County area. 

Dr. Jonathan Miller: The Alumni Association is also presenting a new recognition, "The Bud Swope Outstanding Achievement Award," which is being presented to Miller, a well known neurosurgeon with University Hospital in Cleveland.
