LAKE TWP.  During its regular meeting on July 25, the Lake Local Schools Board of Education approved a two-year lease agreement with Dell Financial Services for 1,000 Dell laptops.

Superintendent Kevin Tobin said this purchase will bring students in grades eight through 12 to a 100 percent, one-to-one computer to student ratio.

"The district will own the computers at the end of the lease," Tobin said. "We have a three-year accidental warranty with each laptop as part of the purchase."

Treasurer Nicole Nichols didn’t have the annual cost of the lease available at the time of this report. She did say the district will make two annual payments on the lease agreement.
