Beginning Feb. 16, all visitors and volunteers to Lake Local Schools will be required to present a photo ID to the main office staff, according to a news release from the district. The ID will be exchanged for a visitor’s badge that must be worn during the visit.

The ID will be exchanged for a visitor’s badge that must be worn during the visit. Visitors can retrieve their ID from the main office once the visit is completed, the release said.

“Although this new procedure might be an inconvenience to those visiting our school buildings, we feel it is a necessary and important step to further enhance the safety and security of our schools,” the news release said.
