  • Wildlife experts to discuss black bears in Akron

  • Black bear activity in Northeast Ohio will be the focus of a Division of Wildlife program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 24 at the division headquarters, 912 Portage Lakes Drive.
    Topics to be covered include bear biology, ecology, life history information, population trends and current status, management, and what to do when encountering a black bear. The program is best suited for ages 16 and older.
    The program is free but preregistration is required as seating is limited. To register, call 330-644-2293 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
