  • Tuesday morning, the Coventry Board of Education approved a two-year tentative agreement with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE) Local 131.

  • Members of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE) Local 131 have a new contact.
    Tuesday morning, the Coventry Board of Education approved a two-year tentative agreement with the union. The new contact includes a step and salary freeze for the duration of the contract. There have been no changes to the contract’s language.
    The new contract will take effect  July 1 and will run through June 30, 2015.
    “OAPSE has been hit hard the last couple of years with layoffs and the members have really stepped up to make up for the losses,” Superintendent Rusty Chaboudy said in a release issued by the district Tuesday morning. “I am very appreciative of their efforts.”
