  • Green schools, parks department to offer tennis camps

  • The Green Parks and Recreation Division and the Green High School Tennis Coaches and team are offering the Bulldog Youth Tennis day camp for students ages 5 to 18. Camps run from June 3 through 7 at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road.

  • The Green Parks and Recreation Division and the Green High School Tennis Coaches and team are offering the Bulldog Youth Tennis day camp for students ages 5 to 18. Camps run from June 3 through 7 at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road.
    Camps stress fun while teaching the sport’s fundamentals  sych as groundstrokes, volleys, serves, lobs and overheads. Scoring and match play will also be introduced.
    Children ages 5 to 10 will meet 9 to 10:30 a.m.Monday through Friday and children ages 11 to 18  years old will meet from 10:30 to noon Monday through Friday.
    Participants must bring an age appropriate racquet, tennis shoes, and a bottle of water every day.
    Camp is $65 per student and $50 for each additional sibling. Registration must be paid with cash or check made payable to Green High School.
    To register for this program, contact Green Parks and Recreation at 330-896-6621. Registration forms are available at www.cityofgreen.org or at City of Green Parks and Recreation Office, 1755 Town Park Boulevard.
    Registration deadline is May 29.
