KEY ACTION Passed a resolution supporting the Canal Fulton Public Library levy.
DISCUSSION The resolution recognizes the importance of the library to the community and notes that cuts in state funding have put the library’s financial condition in “a critical state.” If voters approve the continuing 1 mill levy May 7, it would bring in about $235,000 a year and would cost the owner of a $100,000 home an additional $35 a year in property taxes. The money would be used for staffing, programs, materials, and maintenance.
