  • Teachers and staff at Springfield Local Schools faced the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol in a volleyball game Feb. 8. The teams played three volleyball games. Between the first and second game, the patrol put on a presentation about the dangers of operating a vehicle while impaired. The message was very powerful.
During the second and third game, the junior high cheerleaders put on an exciting performance. The evening also included fun music, the Patrol Dog, door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and more. Thanks to the patrol, Springfield teachers and staff, the Spring Hill Parent Group, cheerleaders, parents and community members for coming out to support this event.
The money raised will help bring in Chris Clark, a bicycle stunt rider, who will do a presentation for the whole student body at Spring Hill about staying away from drugs while highlighting his unique riding skills.
