ROCKFORD — Speaking at the Venetian Club on Monday, Rick Santorum said this election’s main issue isn’t the economy. Rather, he said it’s an election that is crucial to restoring basic rights and freedoms to America that were guaranteed by the Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Those rights and freedoms are being destroyed by President Barack Obama, whose philosophy of expansive government will kill the very concept of America, Santorum said.
