  • Uniontown woman charged with robbery, felonious assault

  • A Uniontown woman was charged Wednesday in connection with an Aug. 5 robbery at Giant Eagle in Macedonia.

  • A Uniontown woman was charged Wednesday in connection with an Aug. 5 robbery at Giant Eagle in Macedonia.
    Kimberly Tromski, 43, was charged with robbery and felonious assault. She allegedly robbed an 82-year-old woman and knocked her to the ground during the robbery. Bystanders intervened and gave the Summit County Sheriff's Office a description of the robber and her vehicle.
    On Wednesday, a Summit County Sheriff's Deputy noticed a vehicle in Northfield Center Township that matched the description of the robber's vehicle, and the driver matched the description of the suspect. The deputy contacted sheriff's detectives and initiated an investigation. Tromski was identified as the driver of the vehicle.
    Detectives were able to identify Tromsky as the suspect responsible for the robbery Aug. 5.
    She was booked into the Summit County Jail.
