  • Lake Township Trustees table annexation resolution

  • During a regular meeting Aug. 26, the Lake Township Trustees agreed to table a resolution for the annexation of 48.773 acres from the Lake Local Schools Board of Education to the Village of Hartville.

  • During a regular meeting Aug. 26, the Lake Township Trustees agreed to table a resolution for the annexation of 48.773 acres from the Lake Local Schools Board of Education to the Village of Hartville.
    “Before voting on the resolution I suggest that one or more of the trustees meet with the Village of Hartville and the Board of Education to ensure that both entities are fully aware of what they are agreeing to with the annexation,” said Galen Stoll, president of the trustees.
    Lake High School sits on the acreage.
    Market Avenue runs along the front side of the area with Lake Center Street and King Church Avenue bordering the sides and back of the acreage.
    In other business Aug. 26, trustees:
    • Approved payroll for Aug. 30 in the amount of $58,286.
    • Authorized to pay bills as of Aug. 26 in the amount of $43,971.
    • Approved purchasing a service/utility body with 3,200 pound crane  from Jomac LTD for a cost not to exceed $34,000.
    • Approved purchasing a used 75kw trailer mounted diesel generator from Promethean Software Services for a cost not to exceed $4,500.
    Trustees next meet at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Township Hall.
