Harley is a 4-year old Golden Retriever who was born in Manchester. He was raised by Manchester High School’s Morgan VanScoy. By the time Harley was 1-year old in human years, he decided he liked the smell of magnolias and he settled in with his grandmother, Gail Rogers.
Rogers, a real estate agent in Sun City Hilton Head, South Carolina, is now Harley’s owner and handler.
And Harley has his own vocation. He’s a search and rescue dog with the Urban Search and Rescue K-9 headquartered on Hilton Head Island. While Harley is too young to remember, his unit served at Ground Zero following the 9-11 attack.
“He adores children and excels in runaways,” said Rogers.
