Forecasters are calling for rain and snow Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, according to Thursday’s forecast.
The National Weather Service forecast is listing a 30 percent chance of rain and snow during the night Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The forecast predicts temperatures during the daytime in the mid 40s with nighttime temperatures Sunday dipping to 36 degrees, Monday to 31 and Tuesday to 29, according to the weather service’s website.
Temperatures have dipped below freezing once so far this season.
On Oct. 11, the temperature dropped to 30 degrees, said Kirk Lombardy, a meterologist in the weather service’s Cleveland office.
The average “first freeze” in this area is Oct. 19, he said, adding, “So we were a little early.”
Lombardy said the earliest recorded freeze, however, is Sept. 21. No year was listed.
