  • A local couple, Kris and Rebecca Vincent, recently were honored with the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association’s Industry Excellence Award.
The Vincents operate a beef farm called Tri-Pine Farm at 9007 Hill Church St. SE. The award is one of five given out by the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association.
“It is considered one of our highest awards,” Julie White, public relations officer for the state association, said. “It signifies their contributions to the industry. We do recognize their efforts on their farm to take care of their livestock.”
The Vincents helped start the Stark County Cattlemen’s Association. Kris Vincent also is an Osnaburg Township trustee.
“We keep about 80 head all the time,” Kris Vincent said. “We have an Angus-based herd.”
    Vincent also raises hogs.
