    - The Primetime Emmy Awards are on tonight. The broadcast begins at 7 p.m. EDT on ABC.
    - This week is Banned Books Week.
    - Yom Kippur is Wednesday.
    - Among the new movies opening this week are “Looper, R, sci-fi flick starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt; Hotel Transylvania,” a PG animated comedy; and “Won't Back Down,” a PG-13 drama starring Viola Davis and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
    - New albums are out Tuesday from Anita Baker, As I Lay Dying, Green Day, Lupe Fiasco, Mumford and Sons, No Doubt, Ricky Skaggs and more.
