A recently completed donation campaign generated $1.05 million and 100,000 pounds of food for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
The amount raised in this year’s Harvest for Hunger campaign represents a record for the anti-hunger organization.
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank will be able to provide more than 4.3 million meals for people struggling with hunger in this region of Ohio.
More than 300 businesses and organizations contributed to the donation drive. The single largest contributor was Aultman Health Foundation which donated more than 13,000 pounds of food.
