  • Kelsey Peare, Hoover
THE NUMBERS  Peare averaged 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while leading the team with 3.2 assists and 3.6 steals per game through the regular season. She shot 40.3 percent from the field and 79.8 percent from the foul line as she helped the Vikings to their first Federal League title since 2008.
WHAT SHE DOES  A tall, quick, athletic player, Peare is a havoc-creating defender and a versatile offensive player who seems to do a bit of everything for Hoover.
WHAT HER COACH SAYS  “In my eyes, Kelsey Peare is a star. She’s a great kid and basketball player, not only for her skill but because of her selflessness and willingness to lead by example. She does so much for us. She scores. She rebounds. She distributes the ball. Plays great defense. She’s assumed a ton of responsibilities as our only senior and I feel lucky to coach her.” — Hoover head coach Abbey Allerding
