  • A recount of the Coventry Township Trustee candidates Dec. 1 reaffirmed the results of the November election.
The recount, one of five performed by the Summit County Board of Elections, was the only one requested and paid for by a candidate.
Bob Wilson, past incumbent of the board of trustees, paid for the recount, but waived the rest of the recount after one completed precinct matched the November results exactly, according to Marijean Donofrio, director of the board of elections.
The other four recounted races were automatically requested because the results were within one half of one percent of each other. They included the Akron City School district candidates, Bath Township trustee candidates, Stark County Board of Education candidates and Issue #42 Mogadore Village Charter Amendment. There were no changes.
