  • More snow is on the way — up to 4 inches — and the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather statement for northern Ohio.
Southern Ohio, including Carroll and Tuscarawas counties, has been labeled as being under a winter weather advisory.
In the Stark County area, where the chance of snow is listed at 100 percent today, the total daytime accumulation is listed as 2 to 4 inches on the weather service’s website. But the hazardous weather statement said 2 to 3 inches will fall, with some areas receiving 4 inches, and visibility will be poor.
The temperature was expected to reach 21 degrees before falling overnight to 14, the weather service said.
At 9 a.m. the recorded temperature at the Akron Canton Airport was listed at 14 degrees with winds out of the southeast at 9 mph and a wind chill reading of 2 degrees.
