When Jackson Township police found a Plain Township man lying in the intersection near the Westfield Belden Village Mall early Friday morning, he began to argue with them. Intoxicated, he beat up the inside of their cruiser before he peed in it.
A Plain Township man found lying in the intersection of Everhard Road and Whipple Avenue NW early Friday morning was jailed after police who stopped to “render aid” found him drunk and argumentative, Stark County Jail records said.
The 22-year-old Bucknell Circle NW man also urinated in their police cruiser after beating on the doors and windows, the jail records said.
Officers initially saw him lying in the intersection at 2:35 a.m. Friday and stopped to help him. They quickly found him to be “highly intoxicated” and “immediately” argumentative, the jail records said.
The officers tried to contact a friend or family member, but he continued to be verbally abusive and disruptive, jail records said. The records said he was placed in their police cruiser where he continued to pound on the doors and windows before urinating inside the cruiser.
The man was jailed on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct with intoxication. The Repository does not typically name misdemeanor crime suspects.
