  • A town hall meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night to discuss the effect of nuisance properties on crime in Canton. Four council members are holding the meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

  • A town hall meeting is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall to discuss the effect of nuisance properties on crime.
    The meeting is being held by City Council members Kevin Fisher, D-5, John Mariol, D-7, Edmond Mack, D-8, and Frank Morris, D-9.
    “This will be an opportunity for the community to come together and address these issues,” Morris wrote in an emailed meeting invitation. The public “will have a chance to hear what we are working on, what we have done, and most importantly (residents) will have a chance to tell us what (they) feel needs to be done.”
    The meeting will be in the City Council Chamber at 218 Cleveland Ave. SW in downtown Canton.
