  • The website of the Akron-Canton Airport was hacked  Saturday morning.
Airport officials said in a press release that TurkishAjan attacked its site— Akroncantonairport.com — at 8 a.m. In reaction, airport officials suspended access, returning it to service by 10:30 a.m.
According to the release, the information accessed by the group included entries to contests on website. That included names, emails, cities and phone numbers, though no email address passwords or credit card information was on the airport's website.
It’s suggested you change your email password, if you signed up for an airport contest in the past two years. No information for flight bookings at the airport was accessed.
In the past, the TurkishAjan group has been accused of hacking websites of major corporations, including Mercedes-Benz. Earlier this month, it hacked into the city of Akron’s income tax site.
